Slippers

Sometimes Jason thinks Melia acts a little puppy.  Perhaps it's because she randomly barks.  One "trick" she's learned is to bring me my slippers.  At first I thought she was being a sweet little girl.  Turns out, she realizes that I wear my slippers when I go out to the kitchen/living area of our house.  We spend most of our time in the bonus room because it's the only carpeted room on the main floor.  I think Melia feels confined in that room and wants to explore other areas of the house.  So basically she'll get my slippers when she wants to leave the bonus room.  So smart and manipulative!

Purse

Melia is really picking up on things we say and do.  One day, Jason and Melia were hanging out in our closet and she found my old purse.  She sees me with a purse so she thinks it's a necessity.  Now when she leaves a room, she'll pick it up as if she's going out.

Going to the park with Kira

Melia and I met up with Aunty Linh and Kira at a nearby park.  Melia took a while to warm up to all the strangers at the park and the play structure.  

Melia actually kept her hat on to shield the sun.

 Melia was a little apprehensive and held on to her puppy.

 Kira loved being on the swings.

 Melia did not!  I tried putting her in the swings 4 different times, and she would wail each time.

She did much better on the slide.

 Melia again found herself in the grass.

 She later found a tricycle that belonged to another child, and cried and cried until she was able to ride it.  Much happier once she got on the tricycle.

 Kira got a chance to sit on it too.
