First day at daycare

Melia started daycare last week. She is typically very calm and mellow but was very upset on her first day. She was acting like a completely different baby. She wouldn't nap for more than 10 minutes at a time and refused to drink from the bottle. It's always tough to see your baby upset, especially when you're returning to work full-time. For the rest of the week, I had to go to the daycare at her mealtimes to nurse. The teachers assured me that this behavior is normal and it sometimes takes babies up to 2 weeks to adjust. Luckily, it took about 5 full days before she was acting normal. By the end of the 2nd week, she was napping in her crib (although she would sometimes tire herself out and fall asleep on the floor!), taking the bottle from the teachers, and playing with the other babies. What a relief! I figure it'll be a matter of time before she cries when I come to take her home. :)

Her name on the wall.

She loves the activity mats.

She was getting tired and wanted a nap here.
